The building is constructed on the grounds of the Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital (the Owner) and serves as a senior citizens state of the art independent living facility. The building of 167,000 square feet has sixty-six residential units and a sixty-six car basement underground parking garage. Each unit is provided with kitchen and laundry facility. The building has a commercial kitchen with dining and food service facilities, full exercise area and indoor swimming pool.
Ackroyd Engineering, LLC was responsible for the complete electrical design which included electrical, telephone, data and cable television services. We also designed the power distribution system, general interior and exterior lighting and controls, exit and emergency lighting, a stand-by generator with automatic transfer switch and emergency power distribution system, the fire alarm system and power for elevators, food service and HVAC equipment.
